I've been scheduling things to get done around the house. Today the gutter filter people were out and I now have clean gutters with filters to stop the neighbor's trees from growing in the gutters! Next, hopefully next week, the furnace people will be installing a humidifier on the furnace, and getting heat into the basement sewing studio. Then, the window cleaning company will be out on the 14th to wash my very filthy windows. And, hopefully that will be it. Any garden work, I plan on doing myself -- adding mulch, maybe planting some more flowers, maybe putting up the raised bed I have to grow my own tomatoes.
While the gutter people were working on the house, I spent the time working on the bottom half of block 6 of Cottontail Cottage, by Bunny Hill. Hopefully I'll finish it today or tomorrow, then on to blocks 7,8,9!
I bought myself flowers again on Tuesday -- the last bouquet lasted almost 2 weeks! So, these will be good for Easter - I'm serving brunch here for the family.
And the confession: I missed more days than I exercised last month, so once again I'm starting over. April will be 15 minutes on the bike and 10 minutes on the treadmill.
I also signed up for a retreat in Texas in June. The quilt will be a Judy Neimeyer quilt called Coral Reef, taught by a certified JN instructor. I hate paper piecing, but I love this quilt and I figure with the instructor right there showing us how to do it, maybe I can actually finish the quilt! Retreat is sponsored by Stitchin' Heaven in Texas. And, I'm getting excited already!
Until next time....blessings. And Happy Easter.
