Making Changes

During my house cleaning on Monday, I changed out the winter quilts to more spring-type.  I finally put up 101 Maple Street and it doesn't look too bad if you don't look too closely!

It is a challenge for me to hang these quilts -- I have to stand on a ten foot ladder and the quilt itself is pretty heavy to hold up and try to get into the holder!

I also finished Block 5 of Cottontail Cottage yesterday:

I'm not real pleased with this quilt either.  Both are Bunny Hill quilts and both were kits I bought.  I really don't care for the fabrics and I'm really tired of working on them!  This will be the last Bunny Hill kit I buy and after I finish this one I intend to move on to something else.  I have a couple of patterns I bought that are more like Album type quilts - and I'll use my own fabrics.

I've also had to give up needleturn applique and go to prepared edge since my fingers don't cooperate anymore! Hopefully I'll be able to do a better job of the actual stitching this way.

Until next time....blessings.
