It's been extremely cold in this area (and probably more than half of the US). I have no heat in the basement (guy that finished basement was a moron). Anyway, so I haven't worked on the windmill quilt all week.
I did go to Belvidere on Friday and appliqued with the girls -- love that shop (Sunshine Stitches) and the owner -- wonderful lady. And that was the first time since the 4th Friday in January that I picked up my applique.
So, now it's too cold in the basement, I did finish the applique block I was working on last and did go down with the space heater on to prep the next one.
Block 6 is finished:
This is the Pumpkin Hill quilt. I am getting tired of it! But, there are only 8 blocks and the swag at the top and I have them all prepped, so I will finish it before I go back to Cottontail Cottage.
I did buy another pattern that I'm anxious to start: Vintage Valentine (and I don't have it in front of me, so can't tell you the designer). I think I'm tired of doing birds, pumpkins, bunnies and squirrels!
Definitely gonna contact some furnace people and have them put heat in the basement - it's okay in the fall/spring, but when it's below zero outside, it gets pretty cold down there and my little space heater isn't big enough to do a large area. I'll get a price on adding a humidifier to the furnace also, since I only have a small one in the hallway that I have to constantly refill when it's this cold!
Until next time.....blessings.
