I've got my Mojo back!

I'm pulling kits that I've bought or that were given to me and making decisions!  One, a friend gave me as a challenge -- I hated it and never did the challenge, so I finally threw it out and am not unhappy about it!

Then, pulled this one that I bought on a bus shop hop last year - don't know why it took me so long to do it -- takes about 5 minutes to put it together!  And, I loaded it and quilted it and put the binding on.  Now I have two that need the binding sewn down because I quilted and stitched the binding on the colorful quilt I posted the other day!  I quilted a pumpkin in the middle of this one:

And, while I'm going thru things, I pulled this one out - I've had it with the backing fabric on the shelf for years!  A simple panel that I added simple borders to.  I have it loaded on the machine already, to be quilted next time!

In between these projects, I've been cleaning the sewing studio.  I cleaned my sewing machine and table the other day.  Today I cleaned the cutting table and after quilting the Autumn candle mat, I cleaned the longarm machine and table.  Things get pretty dusty down here -- I think a lot of it is dust from the fabric or lint!  So, every day I'm working on cleaning a little bit at a time.

I've also decided to put new quilts aside into the cabinet for gifts as needed.  The candle mat and other quilt waiting to be bound will both go into the gift cabinet.  I'll probably add any knitting I do that I can give as a gift too.  It'll be nice to have something at hand when I need to give a gift!

So, since Christmas I've been trying to establish a new routine:  Housework/chores need to be done in the morning, then I can go downstairs and work on whatever I want in the sewing studio.  When I come upstairs, I can sit and bind, or knit or even applique til time to make dinner.  I'm also reading a book in the evenings.

By the end of 2021, I hope to have all the kits finished, or out of here!  I hope to have a few more Homeless quilts finished and given away.  I hope to have a few knitted hats finished for the homeless also.  I don't want to put any pressure on myself, but it's good to have goals!  I'd like to be able to just pull stash fabrics and make quilts without having all these other projects hanging around!  That stresses me out!

Until next time.....blessings.
