Tuesday

Today, I woke up thinking about my son.  He would have been 53 today.  He passed away 11 years ago, at the age of 42.  Still miss his smiling face (and every picture we have of him he has a smile on his face).

Anyway, finished cleaning out/straightening the pantry this week.  Before and after pictures:

Obviously, I tend to just shove things into the pantry with no rhyme or reason, and things tend to get lost!  So, hopefully I can keep it reasonably straightened up for awhile now!

Next closet is the coat closet in the foyer.

I've also been working on the longarm this week.  I'm doing a quilt that I pieced about 2 years ago!  It is an All-In-One by Joyce Lundrigan called Autumn Sunrise. An AIO is one that Joyce designed the quilt and gives you the pattern, and then designs the quilting designs for it also.  I'm actually enjoying doing it and looking forward to it every day. I think I have finally reached that point that I'm no longer afraid to tackle the quilting -- I've learned a lot!  I probably have 2 more days to finish it, but today I went to the chiropractor and have bursitis in my shoulder, so I won't be working on it.  Hopefully I'll be back at it tomorrow.  When I first started doing these AIO's and Skill Builder projects, I just used fabric that I wanted to use up, so some of them are not really that attractive!  But now, when I piece these I'm going to try to make them prettier!  I'll post a picture when I finish the one on the frame.

Until next time....Blessings

It would be difficult to lose a son so young. My brother passed away last year and I am still reeling from the loss. Your pantry looks wonderful - both the before as well as the after pictures. I am trying to do some decluttering and organization too. Take it easy with your shoulder. The quilting will wait.
