This is my amazing grandson on Senior Night. His first 10 serves were consecutive points and the other team called a time out! They had a blast on Senior night, He's hoping for a volleyball scholarship for college next year. Am obviously very proud of him.
Most of my time lately has been hand appliqueing and practicing custom quilting on the Statler/Gammill longarm. Skill Builders is a monthly class download, with the pattern for a quilt and instructions for piecing and then all the instructions and patterns for quilting it. I stopped doing them for awhile and got way behind, but after our Southern Belle retreat, I got all inspired again, so slowly but surely I've been working on them. This was the project for July called Even Nine Patch:You can't really see the quilting too well, but I did do it as instructed and it came out pretty good.
I have another one on the longarm waiting for me to start quilting it - soon!
I'm working on the same applique project for the past few months. It is a block of the month and I started about 5 months late. So, I'm going to only work on it and the Skill Builders projects until I'm caught up -- I'm on block 6 and we just received block 11, so I have some catching up to do. We tend to buy more projects and more fabric and I decided I'm not going to live forever and I'd rather leave my daughter finished projects rather than half started ones! (Although I do have at least a dozen half started ones right now!) I'm hoping to get caught up on the Rainbow of Jewels quilt and then go back and start working on one of the unfinished ones.
We did another two day shop hop last month - a few shops in WI and of course I bought another pattern and a few things -- but not a lot. It's mostly about having fun with friends!
Until next time....blessings.
