Still digging thru!

Today my time in the quilt studio was spent stacking fabric and cleaning out a couple of drawers.  I found some amazing things I forgot all about!  And a whole lot of kits and unfinished quilts.

This one is a finished top, just needs quilting.  I think it was a Kim Diehl small quilt.  I joined her Kim Diehl Club at Quilters' General Store years ago and we made I think 6, maybe more small quilts.  I will add this to the pile to be quilted - I think I wasn't happy with the appliqued leaves on this and that was why it languished in the drawer all these years.  I'll quilt it and give it away.

This quilt is my own design.  It's 74" x 74" and I have a backing fabric already pieced for it.  It is at least 10 years old, if not older.  Time to figure out how to quilt it and finish it.

And this was just a little baggy full of 2-1/2" squares - all Kansas Troubles fabric.  So, I spent the afternoon piecing them together - it's bigger than the one in the picture.  And, I only have a picture, no directions.  I think I saved it because I liked the applique around the border.  I need to add borders and decide if I want to applique something in the borders.  It's only 24" x 24" right now.

I have a few things I'm going to give away -- some old blocks that were given to me that I have never done anything with.

A friend used to buy old blocks at garage sales and then challenge me with a bunch of them - I never did anything with them, because it's not my thing! Not like I don't have enough of my own stuff sitting around waiting to be finished!  I found a few kits I don't even remember buying too!

My goal will be to finish some kits, or give them away, or toss them.  Whatever I decide, they will be out of my house!

Until next time....blessings.
