I have a Gammill longarm and had the Statler Stitcher retrofitted in 2014. I love it! The premier teacher (in my opinion) for the Statler program is Joan Knight. She and Joyce Lundrigan have joined forces and offer a monthly online class called Skill Builders. Each project is different and they take you thru piecing whatever the project is, and then completely quilting it - all the while you learn how to use the many parts of the program. It is a wonderful class. So, I signed up for the very first class and every class since. But sometimes there isn't time to do the projects. I print them off and also save the videos they provide with each class.
So, last year in July they offered a tote bag pattern. I did all the quilting on it, but then it sat for over a year! Today I put it together! (Keep in mind, I don't sew - which is probably why it sat that long).
The piece across the back is loose so you can hang it over your luggage when traveling. And of course I used Kansas Troubles fabric for mine, since I always have some on hand and it's still my favorite!
I did some more piecing after I finished the bag, but I'll save that for tomorrow.
Until next time....blessings.
