R.I.P. JR

I had to have JR put to sleep yesterday.  He was down to 9 pounds and very ill.  We've been through a lot together, but I couldn't let him suffer.  I'm actually doing okay.  I never considered it, but it has given me some freedom -- I actually used to plan things around taking care of him, so now I only have myself to take care of.
Actually drove to Wisconsin this morning to have breakfast with my daughter!

Until next time...blessings.

Joanne, I am so sorry about JR. Losing them is so hard, but having them so sick is harder. Its not an easy decision to make, but its the last best thing we can do for our best friends. We lost a dog and a 21 yr old cat in 2013. I did the right thing, but it stil hurts. :::hugs:::

I'm so sorry for your loss. Our pets are part of our family and it's so hard to lose them. I'm glad you did the right thing for JR and I'm sure he was grateful for that.

So sorry to hear about losing JR........he looks like a cutie! We just lost our Miss Molly and like you, we couldn't let her suffer, so had to make that awful decision. The mind knows it's right, but the heart hurts terribly.....(((Hugs)))......Kathy
