Virginia Bluebells

This clump of Virginia Bluebells came from Bill's family's original homestead farm -- homesteaded by his grandfather, I believe, on his father's side of the family. His Aunt Belle lived on the farm until six months before her death when she was moved to a nursing home. She was 104 when she died. On one of our last visits there, while we were trying to clean out some of her things, we dug up this clump of bluebells. I planted them at our old house and moved them here when we built this place. I love having a piece of family history growing in my own yard. I also have some peonies from his mother's house that she gave us before she died.
It's time to get some stitching done -- I have a few projects I want to work on!
