Lazy Day

I went to the Breezy Hill nursery today -- and it is aptly named - gale force winds I think!

I picked up 3 mum plants -- all red, but they haven't started blooming yet.  I put them out on the back deck.  And, I picked up a lavender plant and planted it in the front bed.

And the Knockout roses are blooming still:

I have 3 of these rose bushes in this front bed, but have had to fight off Japanese Beetles the past two months, so it's good to see them a little healthier.

I did manage to do my hour of knitting and am happy to say the 17 rows of lace are done and I'm on to stockinette stitch for a few rows.

And, the hold I had on a book at the library came up, so I downloaded it to my Kindle and of course have started reading it!  I've read a good amount of David Baldacci this summer.  This one is the last of the series books until the next one comes out in November.  I love downloading them free from the library -- they give you a week to read them, you can put any number on hold and most times they come up a week earlier than they first say.

Didn't go into the spare room except to admire how clean and neat it is!  I'll hopefully finish up in there on Saturday and start on the next room - which will be the master bathroom.

Until next time....blessings.
