Fall Cleaning

First day of September and for me I'm starting my fall cleaning.  Keep in mind that my speed is that of a giant tortoise and I have the attention span of a gnat, so may not finish the main floor before next spring!  But, I'll give it a go! Starting with the spare room - which is actually the catch-all room and it holds my finished quilts and lots of yarn and knitting related paraphernalia.

The view from the doorway.  This is a rather small bedroom and it not only contains the armoire you can see in the picture, but on the opposite wall is a huge cabinet my husband built for fabric that now houses my finished quilts - except for all those on the floor and on top of the desk!

So today I managed to put all the quilts away in both the quilt cabinet and some in the armoire.  I also cleaned out the desk drawers - which were full of knitting needles, crochet hooks, and various patterns and books.  Now I have all my favorite needles in one place in the center drawer and a whole bag of other knitting needles I'll give away at church on Sunday.  I'm going to have to start giving away some quilts soon, too.  It's a start - but I'm done for the day -- gotta get another couple rows done on my shawl and get some applique work done as well!

Until next time...blessings.
