March

I have to admit that I've had a long string of laziness lately!  The hat I started in February is only half done.  I've been reading, a lot!  David Baldacci books, mostly.  Finally decided to stop buying them and just download them from the library, so now I'm waiting for the next book in the memory man series to be available.
I haven't touched the longarm since I put the July Skill Builder on it - which is a tote bag. Just haven't felt like quilting much.  I have been doing some applique, but usually only at Lucky Quilt Co in Pecatonica, IL.
I did decide to fix corned beef and cabbage this week - I always get hungry for it before St. Pat's day!  So, I took out my old Betty Crocker Recipe Card file box and have managed to lose the recipe I always use.  However, I've made it enough that I remembered how to make it anyway.  It was good -- had leftovers last night and enough left over to make grilled corned beef sandwiches!  So while I had the file out I started looking through the recipes - haven't actually looked at them in years.  Made up a new menu for this week and will keep the box out for awhile and see what inspires me to cook next week!
(The tulips in the picture came from the grocery store - every Friday they have $5 tulips, and every Saturday they have a $5 bouquet of flowers -- but I never go on Saturday!)
Until next time.....blessings.
