The applique borders will have these big flowers on them and also leaves between the flowers. I have the flowers appliqued on one border so far. I need your opinion on whether to put a narrow border between the top and the wide border or not. I'm using a print that is in the top for the example above; could also probably find a tone on tone in maybe green to put there. I'm not sure it really needs an inner border. What do ya think?

Joanne - put one on if you want but I don't think it desperately needs one - looks lovely just as it is :o)
I think an inner boarder would detract from the whole.
I think the whole thing ties together much better without the inner border. If it were my quilt I wouldn't put it there. I like an inner border when the outer border is either plain or pieced, but not when it is appliquéd.
I like it better without the inner border. The applique border and the center seem to blend together better to me without the extra border.
I saw the first picture, liked it, then scrolled to the second, liked it better!
Either way, what a nice quilt.

Joanne,
If you put an inner border in there I would suggest a darker color so that there is a distinct separation. To me, the one you have for us to look at is too light.
At first I didn't like the pic without an inner border. But after looking longer I like the way the top floats in that picture.
I think either way it'll be gorgeous! The applique border is adorable!

day late, but I prefer it without the inner border too... Especially since it looks like you have 1 background.... Nice border idea!
Late - but - I do not think the quilt need an inner border
I think it's great, just like that.
Super colors you've used - I wouldn't want to part with it either!
