Cooky Day with the Grandkids

The aprons were a smash hit! This is me (I'm the white-haired grandma with no eyes when I smile - in case you couldn't tell).

Briana is 7, AJ is 22 months as of yesterday. He has hit the terrible twos and I love every minute of it! (Paybacks are extremely fun -- my own mom used to say, "I can't wait til you have kids of your own!")

We had a great time making cookies and playing. Then I had to drive back home, go out to dinner, then crash in the recliner! Totally worn out, but worth every second of it! LOL

Cute picture! I'm thinking you'd better get busy and make aprons in a size or two larger for next year. They're both going to outgrow those and I'm betting that's the first thing they ask for next year when it's time to make cookies.

Oh, yes, payback time! I can't wait for my son to grow up (pretty big assumption there!) and have kids so they can do to him what he's done to me!

Oh...you're such a cool Grandma! What great gifts they'll both have to remember forever: the aprons...and the memories!

Oh yes. And I'm sure the cookies are great too. But doubt they'll stick around too long. ;-)

Thanks everyone! Never thought about making aprons every year -- good idea! Only, I think I'll find a pattern ahead of time!

What a great pic! It's so good to put a face to my Maverick friend's names. :o) You built some wonderful memories for those grandkids of yours.

Hey! Those aprons fit GREAT. Didn't you say that you didn't have a pattern and you were winging it? The kids are so cute and look happy with Grandma! I only WISH my Mom was still alive for payback. She would LOVE my little 2.5 year old - she always called them "The Terrific Twos" and on a trying day I can hear her say that and it makes me smile. She just loved kids.

Cheers!
