Spring has Sprung!

We're supposed to be in the high 50's, low 60's this week -- yay! Also supposed to get some more rain -- I'll believe that when I see it! But at least with the warmer air, I could be rockin' on the porch watching the daffodils grow!
Today's quilt that will be given to one of my kids was another mystery quilt (see a trend here? -- I used to do a lot of mystery quilts a few years back!). This one was designed by Beth Ferrier. I like it, but I've had it around long enough now -- so think maybe the kids would like it.

Gratitudes:

1. Flannel Sheets -- even though it'll be in the 50's, it's still in the 30's at night!

2. Finding a cheap iron at Bed, Bath & Beyond and getting another 20% off!

3. Sleeping in this morning.

4. Bill made dinner today (Bean & Ham soup), and he cleaned up his mess afterwards! Plus, we have two containers in the freezer because he made lots!

Joanne, Thank you for the measurements for cutting setting triangles. That is not my strong point at all. I am adding a link on my last post to access the pineapple fried rice. I think the taco pot pie is online as well...so I will add that too somehow. Best, Catherine

I love the sharp/soft lines the stars make in this quilt - and it looks like it lays so nice and flat too. Can I be one of your kids so I can be on the list for a quilt from your UFO list? LOL!

It's a beautiful mystery quilt Joanne!! Good for you for passing it along to the kids. I really, really like this one and I usually am disappointed by the outcome of mystery quilts!
Hurray for warmer weather...we still have snow banks, but they are melting!!

I enjoy reading your gratitudes--it helps me remember mine.

Another beauty. I'm going to have to keep this in mind for some pieced border ideas. My Rowenta doesn't do any better a job than a cheap one. Cheap next time for me, too.
